Year 11 Leavers Celebration of the Word

Beginning of May marked a significant milestone for our Year 11 pupils as we gathered together for a special Leavers’ Celebration of the Word, commemorating the end of an important chapter in their journey.

Gathering one final time in the hall, we offered spiritual support and encouragement as students begin their GCSE examinations. It was a wonderful service, made even more special through the active participation of many pupils. Each tutor group created a memory board reflecting on their journey through school, while our Head Prefects delivered thoughtful and moving reflections. The Year 11 choir performed ‘Let It Be’ by the Beatles, and tutors shared personal prayers and messages of support for their groups.

Following the service, students took part in the much-loved tradition of shirt signing, giving both staff and students the opportunity to share messages of good luck and encouragement. As always, it was a memorable and emotional occasion for everyone involved. We continue to keep our Year 11 pupils in our prayers and wish them every success in the weeks ahead as they undertake their examinations
