Virtual Lenten Liturgy
The season of Lent, followed by the Easter Triduum is of great importance in our faith. Last year our school community was deprived of the opportunity to come together to reflect upon the events leading up to the celebration of Easter. We are delighted that this year we have been granted the opportunity to examine the significance of this sacred season and the hope it gives us all in these challenging times. With a shared enthusiasm, our pupils have been hard at work creating our Virtual Lenten Liturgy based upon the Stations of the Cross from Mary Our Mother’s perspective. In a truly collaborative effort; our Art Department created a beautiful painting of the Lamb of God on the cross, our Drama Department with Year 7 pupils helped to create atmospheric representations of the Stations through shadow still images and our Music Department with Year 11 and 9 pupils, shared their talents by singing harmonies and bringing to life the sorrow of The Lord’s Passion in the most beautiful of ways. The liturgy is brought together with readings and reflections from pupils all across the year groups as we explore Christ’s ultimate act of sacrifice and love for us. If you have not already had chance to view the liturgy, please click here to join us, as we come together, once again, as a school community to share in the creative talents of our students and also prepare our hearts and minds to engage with the beautiful mysteries of this Easter Season.
