Teach SouthEast Internship Programme

Teach SouthEast offers a unique Internship Programme for anyone interested in finding out more about a career in teaching. Students studying a Maths, Physics or Computing related degree will also qualify for government funding of £300 per week. The three-week programme will run from the 13th June to the 1st July 2022, during which the interns will have the opportunity to take part in specifically tailored training sessions in key areas of teaching pedagogy and practice, work closely with a subject specialist mentor, observing them regularly and team teaching with them, and have the opportunity to spend a day during their internship preparing for, and taking part in, an accelerated interview process for a training place within our SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training). Interns will leave us with a completed Learning Journal, in which they record their reflections from their training sessions, observations and teaching, along with a formal written reference from their mentor.
