St Paul's Catholic College Providing Education For The Diocese Of Westminster
On Wednesday 27th June we held our annual Sports Day at St Paul’s and what a fantastic day it was! The weather was brilliant, with the sun and a light breeze making it perfect conditions for the event. In the morning, students took part in the Javelin, Discus, Shot Putt, Long Jump, 800m and 1500m and in the afternoon we had the track events. All the students who participated did themselves proud putting in every effort to accumulate as many points as possible for their Houses, with some notable sporting performances from many throughout the day. The 800m finals provided some exciting fights to the line with seconds between the top 3 finishes. The students competing in the 1500m battled through the heat and the fastest times of the day came from Callum (5.13) in Year 10 and Alex (5.22) in Year 8. The students showed off their running prowess in theafternoon in the track events. The closest race of the day was between Year 10 boys Sean,Matthew and Daniel in the 100m with Sean coming through as the winner. Another close contest was in the Year 9 girls 100m where Katie narrowly beat Caoirse and Rebecca in the final metres. Congratulations to all our individual and overall Sports Day winners: Corinth - Year 7, Damascus - Year 8 and Malta – KS/4 (Years 9/10).
