St Paul's Catholic College Providing Education For The Diocese Of Westminster
Houses of Parliament visit
The Student Leadership Team enjoyed a trip up to London recently to the Houses of Parliament. Their first port of call was the Main Lobby and then, after a short description about the House of Commons from their tour guide, they got to see it for themselves and witness first hand a discussion on current affairs about Brexit from the viewing gallery. Next, the group had a tour of Westminster Hall where the Queen gives her speech and finally they went on to the Education Centre for a Workshop. The students took part in a quiz and then a heated debate on whether the voting age should be lowered to 16. The `No’ vote won with the `Ayes’ following closely behind. An amazing day was had by all.
